After consuming Jack Squat Rosé, I unfortunately had a concerning experience. Over the course of a few weeks, I and two others who consumed the wine experienced a range of unexpected health issues, including tremors, dizziness, weakness, fatigue, and mobility difficulties. Some symptoms lasted for several days, while others persisted for weeks.
Queensland Health tested the product and detected penicillin spores. Two of the affected individuals believe they have penicillin allergies, while I don't believe I do. Despite extensive medical testing—including multiple MRIs, nerve conduction studies, and blood tests—no other explanation for these symptoms was found. The only common factor among us was that we had been drinking this wine periodically.
Interestingly, no one in our social circles who did not consume the wine experienced similar symptoms. Once we stopped drinking it, our symptoms gradually improved.
Tamburlaine Wines has been notified of this issue, and I wanted to share my experience for awareness. If anyone else has had a similar reaction, it may be worth investigating further.
