Riegele's brewers spent more than a year developing the beer, aiming to retain the characteristic flavour of a classic Riegele wheat beer while keeping the alcohol below 0.5% ABV. Brewed with wheat malt, barley malt, hops and yeast, it delivers an authentic Bavarian wheat beer experience without the alcohol.
Riegele Weisse Alkoholfrei also took first place in an expert blind tasting of 12 non-alcoholic wheat beers conducted for German television business magazine ZDF WISO, finishing ahead of a field that included several of Germany's best-known wheat beer producers.
