Full flavour and less than 0.5% ABV? That’s what you can expect from PL’s South Coast Ultra Low…

While producing a brewed beverage with such little alcohol can be challenging, the pursuit of flavour remains the same…and it begins with the highest quality ingredients: premium pale & specialty malts, US & NZ hops, and a characterful ale yeast.

A quicker than usual mash (to minimise fermentable sugars) and a short thirty three hour ferment keeps the ABV in check, while a healthy dry hop lends aromas of citrus and stone fruit.

Expect a lemon yellow pour and a thick head of foam. To drink, it’s full and fresh, with gentle fruit characters, malty undertones, and a clean, crisp finish.

Pretty boring and watery with little flavour. Well behind many others available.

Very average tasting at best. Unfortunately not as good as what you’d expect from a brand like Pirate Life.

Very happy with it tastes very similar to my memory of the full strength.
